A brief history on Turkish Textiles:
Busra was the hub for the Ottoman Empire’s textile market, and all textile manufacture and sales was under the aeges of the sultan (king) and royal family. Weaving materials in traditional Turkish handicrafts consist of wool, mohair, cotton, bristles and silk. Various designs known by different names, such as motif, im, yanis and nakis were used in Turkish textiles.
